There's a lot to come under the Rainbow!
When offered the opportunity to take over the (former) "Business Casual Happy Hour" I was excited at the prospect of continuing on the tradition started by the founders, who had made the decision to move back to their home state of Colorado. Also, however, I was daunted by the amount of effort it would take to launch an activity that would appeal to the LGBTQ community in the greater Santa Barbara, tri-county area.
But taking a cue from a similar event in Austin, Texas, I decided to launch Rainbow Happy Hour as a platform for all kinds of engagement activities ... not just happy hours, but opportunities to learn about, network , serve and explore our community.
Hence, welcome to the Rainbow! Once we re-launch our monthly cocktail socials later this month, we'll be introducing a mixture of occasional pot-luck dinner socials, wine and craft beer tastings, and even adventure and cultural excursions ... all based upon YOUR interest! I welcome and invite your suggestions, too!
